Dress Code
Vine Academy students are expected to dress modestly, neatly, and in a manner honoring to God and to others.
1. Students should avoid appearances that may be a distraction to teachers or other students.
2. T-shirts and tops should be long enough to cover midriff, even when bending and stretching.
3. Girls’ shirts: no spaghetti straps or low necklines.
4. All shorts must be past fingertip length or mid-thigh, whichever is longer.
5. Skirts and dresses should be top of the knee or longer, any slits in skirts must begin at the top of the knee.
6. Girls’ leggings are considered “invisible” meaning outer clothing should conform to the school dress code. No yoga pants (leggings may be worn under skirts, long shorts, or dresses that are fingertip length or longer).
7. Modest swimwear in appropriate setting. No bikinis or speedos. Full bottom coverage.
8. Students are to refrain from wearing clothing or logos that might be offensive to his/her brothers and sisters in the Lord. Examples of unacceptable inscriptions would be profanity, slang with sexual connotations, inscriptions that send a ‘double message’, inscriptions written across the seat of the pants, etc.
9. PE: Basketball like shorts that are fingertip length or longer and loose fitting t-shirts for boys and girls. (Spandex, leggings or yoga pants may only be worn under shorts.) Sweatshirts and sweatpants are acceptable. Yoga shorts are not acceptable.
If a student dresses inappropriately Administration will address each issue individually.
Parents, please be responsible as you enforce the dress code from home, supporting Vine’s policies and decisions with a godly attitude. Vine relies on you to help support all of our policies.
To help our families all understand and follow the dress code, parents should electronically sign on the Vine Academy website, agreeing that they understand Vine’s expectations and that their students will abide by the dress code standard.
