Course Description:

The text will be supplemented with Story of the World and various other materials.

Parents are strongly encouraged to read the lessons aloud with their student to encourage discussion and greater understanding.

Required Text/Materials:

Travel folder for daily work. Keep a supply of lined paper inside
4×6 cards, case for cards
Colored pencils & 2 regular pencils
Colored pen for corrections
Fine-line black Sharpie/ Scissors/ Permanent Glue stick/yellow highlighter – bring to every class.
Copy/Project Fee: $10

The Mystery of History Volume 2 may at first appear to be an ominously large book, especially to your 5/6^th grader! In fact, it is a well-written, easy to understand, chronological guide to broadening the boundaries of your child’s young mind.

Grading Scale:

Tests/Quizzes- 30%,

Homework/Classwork- 40%,

Quarterly Projects – 20%,

Participation – 10%
